I also have some interior issues as well, that seemed to have cropped up, so hopefully this isn't too expensive... sbauman 12-22-2005, 07:56 PM 99 Z24 - When I flick my highbeams on, my dash lights go out and my rear tail lights... Niece has a 94 Cav and it is blowing the fuse taking out the rear running lights and the dash lights only. She thought she was using her turn signal when they went out which would point to the multifuction switch being the culprit but I don't have the wiring diagrams to see if that switch ties into the dash light circuit. Did you ever solve your problem? Any help appreciated. CCLaguna 12-22-2005, 11:00 PM I'm sure it's just a short in one of the wires, could even be a fuse problem maybe? It would probably be easier to take it to a dealer rather than re-wire the whole car yourself....unless you're that good. 89Sunbird 12-22-2005, 11:54 PM Dont know why you would drive around with your high beams, anyway... "Somebody has never driven on the country roads before." Country roads don't have any street lights. Go drive on one without high beams and try to avoid critters and you let me know how that went. PsychoJJ 12-23-2005, 03:26 AM I do it all the time. I dont think I ever use my high beams. They are only for blind people. Takulia 12-23-2005, 04:23 PM I do it all the time. I dont think I ever use my high beams. They are only for blind people. Yeah, personally I drive around at night with my dash lights turned off too. That way it's always a surprise when the officer tells me how fast I was going. Plausible deniability my friends  bh04 12-23-2005, 11:35 PM My highbeams don't seem that bright. Suggestions for new ones? But the problem you are having is also a new one to me. To me it seems like a wiring problem with your electrical. vamc 12-27-2005, 12:44 AM WTF? :eek7: Thats a new one on me. They are great. stever1 12-31-2005, 07:23 PM Silverstar head lights. They are great. these cars are known for haveing wire rot. you should inspect the wire harness under the battery. there is a large connector where wire's usually grow fungus either on the pins or actual wires. even go as far as stripping back the packaging tape and feel for broken wire inside the insulator. i've found this problem in many of the cavaliers and sunfires. vamc 12-31-2005, 07:53 PM Really? hhmmmm....I would not doubt it. What have they been know for this? Poor seal in the hood? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
