I have a 99 Cav. I see the bolt pattern for my car as 5x100 and sometimes 5x100/114.3. Will 17x7 - 5x100 rims fit my car?

So long as the bolt patter is 5x100 they should be fine. Someone else here probably knows the maximum width of the tires, but if memory serves, 7 should be fine. 18" is usually fine, 19" might rub, 20" requires fender rolling.

I have 18x7.5 on my 2000. No tire rub what so ever. 225/40/18.

I have 17x7's and they work fine. I have heard that you can get 19's in there without any rub as long as you get low enough profile tires.

Prety much, don't go bigger than 19" and i'd say 7.5 or 7 inches wide. and 5x100. You should be fine.

I know a guy with 19's and air ride, he has rolled fenders but has no binding issues, they're 19x8. don't know the offset. Will try to find pics of his car. you need to be between 32-40 on the offset ideally or wheel bearing life will be drastically shortened

The offset is 40 on these. What would you recommend for tires? I'm thinking either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17.

yeah beacuse the spokes have flat faces, when you drive next to him, they just look like round mirrors when the spin and you can see your whole car in them. never managed to get a pic of that though

that's a nice car noshun

I just called a guy about tires and he has (2) 225/45/17 and (2) 215/45/17. If I were to put those 4 tires on my car would I run into any problems? Do you all think it would look bad or wierd to have 2 tires taller than the other 2 (I would probably put them both in the back)?

I havne't yet, but I plan on the Eibach Pro Kit which is a 1.4" drop front and back and either KYB AGX struts or Koni Yellows.

I know someone that runs 215/45 up front and 225/45 in the rear. you wont have any problems except for rotating you tires. The guy i know does it to make them fill the wheel well better

I haven't decided on the struts that I want, but I am more than likely going with the same setup as you are. Just not for a little bit. I think the 1.4" drop will look good with 18"s also.
