What is the correct way to get the dash apart so I can install an aftermarket stereo in my 1991 Caprice? I really don't want to break any clips or pins. The car has A/C if it makes a difference. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Tom

Do you want to replace the unit (radio/cassette player/CD player) or the speakers?

I'm going to replace everything; factory cassette deck in the dash and factory speakers in the doors and rear package shelf.

From what I understand, replacing the cassette deck in the dash is no biggie. Should unbolt just below the climate control. You probably will need to install an adapter kit. I have not installed the kit, but I did remove my CD player from my Caprice after my wreck. Just unbolt the unit (I think it was four, two on top and two below) and the unit slides right out. Unplug and there you have it.
