It seems that my radio has locked up...what can I do to fix that? How do I fix it? I am not mechanically inclined at all...easy suggestions please.

You need the unlock code, how did it get locked to begin with?

I don't have a "loc" code...I am not sure how it got locked...I got in my car after work and the radio said "loc" and the radio was working, but then I pushed the power button and now I don't have a radio

The only way this normally happens is when the radio is disconnected or the battery is changed the radio locks out, maybe the former owner wrote the code down in the owner's manual, instructions to unlock with the code are in there also, if not a GM dealer will have to do this for you.

Evening,

If you have the factory AM/FM radio with cassette, and the battery has been disconnected or replaced, open the glove box and turn off the trunk security switch with the ignition on. This restored the radio on a 92 88 Royale I just purchased that displayed LOC. You won't find this listed inthe owners manual.

Let me know if this works for you.
