97 Windstar No Heat, Where Is Thermostattleeburks 10-06-2005, 11:20 AM I have a 97 windstar that does not blow hot air, the a/c works fine. I changed out a thermostat once on an aerostar, where is the thermostat for the windstar? thanks. Tleeburks The thermostats are usaually under the flange that the upper rad hose mounts to. Follow the upper rad hose back to the engine. You should see a flange/casting/housing bolted to the engine. (3.8 on the right side) Remove both bolts the housing should come off. Besure to get a new gasket. Also, besure the theromstat is in the groove when you tighten down the housing. I've had them slip down.
