The thermostats are usaually under the flange that the upper rad hose mounts to. Follow the upper rad hose back to the engine. You should see a flange/casting/housing bolted to the engine. (3.8 on the right side)

Remove both bolts the housing should come off.

Besure to get a new gasket. Also, besure the theromstat is in the groove when you tighten down the housing. I've had them slip down.

There may also be an air purge hole on the thermostat. If so this should be at the 12:00 position.
