The book calls out to use Both the NLGI #2 Lithium Bse Chassis (for the U-joint) and NLGI #2 Molybdenum Disulfide Lithium Base for the Slide Yoke and Double Joint.

I have an 04 Prerunner (2WD) and have not been able to find the Moly?? Is this only avail at the dealership?? And is it really necessary to have the different types for Ball joinst; U-Joints and that Double Card Joint.

I suspect that the dealer would use whatever is loaded into their lube gun for all fittings. If you are in the USA you may find the Moly grease at a tractor or farm implement dealer. I use Multi-Purpose Lithium E.P NLGI 2 for all the fittings on my old MG. On the Quaker State Cartridge I have it states, "It's an excellent choice for universal joints, Propeller shaft spline and wheel bearings (drum brakes only)." In my opinion the Lithium NLGI 2 will be adequate, but I have no scientific data to support my belief. It will be a lot better than no lubricant.

I did a Google search and Amsoil or Chevron have Moly fortified NLGI 2 lubricants.

Moly grease is available at most auto supply stores. I use it in all my propellor shaft fittings.

You can use two different types of grease if you want. Moly grease is a much better grease for high-load splines and bearings. It is overkill in situations where lithium grease is recommended. You can use moly grease almost anywhere that calls for lithium grease. I don't know of any exceptions.
