malibu 4 cylinders?

there are supposed to be some malibus with 2.4 liters in them, but I've never seen one. all I see is 3.1 litres Do they actually exist? Does anyone know if there were many made?

1st year Malibus, 4 cyl. was std, 6 optional.

Newer Malibu 4 cylinders are called "Classic" and were built mainly for fleet use (company cars, rentals, etc.).

Yes, i've seen those, the classic name plate on the back kind of looks like one of those dealer things they stick on the backs of cars.

My 98 has the 2.4, and it works great. The 2004-2005 Classic was made for fleet use, and uses the DOHC 2.2 4 cyl.
