Had my 91 rx7 (non turbo) for 9 months now. Overheated it once due to radiator fail. Replaced radiator and it started no problem, but idle got choppy. Drove it to work this morning, stopped for gas. It then would not restart -- puffs of white smoke each time the engine cranked. Based on what I read here, it points to coolant o-ring. Engine temp went up to half mark then sharply dropped to 1/4 mark w/in seconds -- think that was my fatal warning, of sorts.

I'm looking for a good book/source with how to's on fixing my 0-ring problem. One person spoke of CRC block weld as a temp fix. If I'm short on options, please let me know by replying. What are my best options?

All signs point to..... blown o-ring

Fix=rebuild

you can try to use the block weld junk in there, but if you are seeing white puffs every time you crank chances are its to late for that. Its time to start looking for another motor :(
