When should I replace the thermostat?

The wife complained that the heater isn't producing much heat. I noticed that the engine doesn't appear to be running very hot. Should I be replacing the thermostat? I don't think it usually gets over 150 degrees.

its easy to change so if it is oe and you have over 36,000 miles on it a flush and a thermo wont hurt
