Hey everybody. I just rolled my new '05 off-road off the lot and need some advice for some bolt-ons I have in mind.

What are some opinions about roof racks out there such as the Yakima Loadwarrior and the Thule M.O.A.B? The difference in price seems negligible enough to consider either. The Thule looks like a 2 piece design which, from a gearhead's perspective can be a potential weakness but it does come with the additional bars to add racks for bikes, skis, etc. which don't have to be purchased later. The Yakima is a one-piece... any opinions about these systems?!

Is there a pre-runner type of bar out there for the '05 yet? I can't seem to come up with one but may just be looking in the wrong places.

Thanks for all your input and I look forward to hearing from you loyal X-owners!

I have Yakima paddling systems, and the official Yakima stance is to use the Mighty Mounts on the factory rack. This isn't wide enough for 2 kayaks, though, so I'm using Low Rider footings for my Yakima bar. It seems secure enough, even though it isn't officially recommended for this purpose. I would welcome any other suggestions about how to connect Yakima(or Thule) load bars to the existing rack.
