I have the opportunity to purchase a 1991 318ic with about 100,000 on the car. This will be my first BMW and just wanted to get some thoughts on it such as is it worth $5000. The car is in decent shape. The seats are frayed in the front and the paint on top of the car is starting to lose it's clear coat in a few places. Also there is some minor car dings and other. What's the average life span of these cars? Thanks in advance.
