I have an 88 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It has a 4.0. When I turn it over it starts. As soon as I put the key into the run position, it dies. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, coil, starter relay and the ignition switch that mounts to the steering column. What am I missing? Please help. :crying:

will it stay running if you hold the gas down about quarter way??

Nope. It dies no matter if I have the gas pedal in any position.

I would check the crank position sensor on the bellhousing, if the computer doesn't see spark the auto shutdown relay will kill power to the fuel pump and the coil.

Does it stay running if you hold the key in RUN? Then check your ign switch too.
