Just some quick advise, got a 93 'scort wagon and need help removing the heater core, I have removed the control panel for the heater controls, and I located one nut that secures the heater box to the fire wall. I cannot find the other 2 much less move this box more than 1/2 an inch in any direction. Are there any links you can forward me to? Ken camo_ken 10-02-2005, 02:25 PM /up AzTumbleweed 10-02-2005, 05:33 PM This is a major job. I started to do mine once and took it to a shop instead. The entire dash has to come out. If I had it to do over again I'd buy an electric heater and close off the heater core. Lynde 10-04-2005, 09:34 AM Hey all, Hope you are all doing well. Ken Yeah, it's a major job, not only do you have to remove the dash, you have to suck down the a/c. But Ken what is the problem? Is it leaking? If you don't have good heat try back flushing the engine and the heater core. Then I would try replacing the Thermostat. If the core is leaking, you have to replace it. camo_ken 10-04-2005, 02:21 PM Yeah, it's a major job, not only do you have to remove the dash, you have to suck down the a/c. I thought, no big deal, I'd just get it done and that'd be it!! NOT@! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
