I have a 1999 escort zx2 and it has a factory installed cd changer/tape deck and when I turn on my headlights the time screen goes almost complely away and the lights that are supposed to be on the buttons are dim aswell... HELP ME>>>!

I have a 1999 escort zx2 and it has a factory installed cd changer/tape deck and when I turn on my headlights the time screen goes almost complely away and the lights that are supposed to be on the buttons are dim aswell... HELP ME>>>!
First of all, are you sure the dimmer switch on the dash is turned up all the way, if it is, I would be looking at the dimmer switch.
