backup your dvdsrendalunit 05-16-2002, 02:09 AM hey all, you can backup your dvds to svcd with a program called DVD2SVCD and you can find it here: http://www.doom9.org/ you can fit a 120 min movie on 2 cdr discs you can also convert your dvds to vcd; all the resources to do this can be found at http://www.vcdhelp.com And a modified vcd template called KVCD will allow you to put a 2 hr dvd onto 1 cdr with near dvd quality. check out http://www.kvcd.net ren Chris 05-28-2002, 10:00 PM I changed mine to .avi's, and I need to use 3 programs. In total, it takes about 9 hours on my moms comp, which is a 1.2ghz AMD Athlon, with 256mb SD-RAM and a 40gb hard drive. So it takes a long time, and will only really be used by people who want to keep rented DVD's. which is illegal and I strongly recommend you not do it, its just a movie, ferchristsake:) Still, for techies, its fun to do at least once;) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
