power steering and ac beltpod 10-01-2005, 01:17 AM allright so i have a 92 'cell and i was just wondering if i took off the belt running the accessarys (ac and power steering) if i could leve it off all winter or if they made a belt that just ran the ps pump tubjub 10-01-2005, 04:48 AM i would assume you could do that ... don't really see the harm in it, OR the point... ac, alright... ps, that's retarted. if you have it use it. all you would need to do to run only the ps is use a string and measure the distance from the driven pulley to the ps pulley ... make sure you count the ribs as well. but if it was me i'd leave it the hell alone ... ac doesn't take any power if you're not using it tubjub 10-01-2005, 04:49 AM use a string to measure the distance and take the dimensions to a auto parts store... any reputable store should be able to find you and belt and if not they should be able to order you one jijiandfarmgang 10-08-2005, 02:00 AM Dont bother, Ac has a clutch, it doesnt create a drag when your not using it, also deleting power steering might be good for 2-4 horsepower.............is it worth it? JRS962 10-13-2005, 04:40 PM They Do make a belt just for the PS I have done it with mine. Just go to any parts place and tell them you have just PS. They have a belt. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
