Dangers of Dyno testing

How dangerous is it to dyno a car? I know that it is definately not good for the car because they run it as hard as it can with restricted air. But has anyone else ever heard of them blowing engines on the dynos? Supposedly dyno testing places do not warrant the engines if they blow while they are on the dyno, they just say 2 bad now get it out of here. Is this true?

I dyno mine twice a year.

People blow up cars on the dyno. Most of the time because the car wasn't ready to run x amount of boost, or there was a problem with nitrous.

I may dyno mine the 15th but the numbers will be crap... $50 for 4 pulsl tho

yeah I wanna get mine done on the 15th too...up in North Jersey but I don't think I'll be able to make it cuz of work

Just make sure they Open your Hood and Have a large FAN blowing on the Engine and you should be Ok. Also make sure your Fluids are up to Temp. And of course make sure your car is in good running condition (Change oil too) It is Freaky though when you hear your car Balls out rite In front of you ! (Makes me cringe) lol.
