CSC Won't Work?

So I messed up the panel lines and trim on this H/O 455 I'm throwing together (black paint, silver paint) so I dropped it in CSC about 2 days ago. Usually two days is more than enough in my experience, but the toothbrush won't take any of the paint off, even on something as prominent as the door handles... should I just leave it in there a lot longer, or do I need something stronger to get the panel lines? :banghead:

What kind of paint?
Just drop it in some dot 3 for a few hours and go to town with an old tooth brush, I haven't met a paintjob that dot 3 couldn't demolish.

CSC don't work on lacquer paints buddy, you may want to search out some of the other solutions like brake fluid.

Hmm.... It's just regular testor's in a jar, silver and black.... are they laquer?

It's almost gotta be Acrylic to resist CSC...
Testors makes Enamel, Acrylic and Laquer formulas!
DOT3 should work on all of those.
I always lightly sand the paint before I strip with anything... just a thought.
Anyone, What do you use to clean the DOT3 off the body before you repaint?

i just use hot water and dish soap. i scrub it a few times before i do anything else to the body.
