RDs are teh early generation tiburons... 97-99 99-01
i personally love the styling of them, and im currently looking for a 1st gen in good shape for a daily driver...

RD 1 is badged as "Tiburon" which include 97-99 models.
RD 2 is badged as "Turbulence" which includes 00-01 models. (02? Cant remember if they made it in 02.)
Should help you out there.
As far as you not liking the pre-2003 Tib body style.... I dont see how you cant like it. But meh, thats your opinion. They just look so damn perty with a clean Veilside or this :

the turbo kit is gorgeous.. tho if i got an RD, id probably get a GTtech lip kit... or somethign simple

ima have to go over budget stuff, but i would love to have one.. as a daily driver now, and a project later on...

pretty decent to great body
high to mediumly high milage
stock (or lightly modded)
engine fine...
transmission.. honestly it wouldnt matter to me since ima be using it to get from point 1 to point b...

there was a RD1 for sale in my area (in the paper) for uhh 2500ish or something if i remember)

i think you're talking about banner's tib.
the guys that built his engine messed up on some torque specs apparently, and he was using an emanage, which was leaning his car out. i saw that tib in person when i went to buy the cf hood from him. he will be selling it soon, he wants to start his own business and needs the extra money.
it was a shame though, that thing was awesome. whoever buys it will be getting my old stock hood too...lol
