Hoping for a quick answer before I start a road trip. My 2002 GC has 50,700 miles on it and I had the brakes checked at the dealer and just to get a second opinion at Midas. Dealer says pads are at 3mm all around and should be replaced. Midas says they are fine. I can't get in close enough to do the measurements, but they look like they are around 1/4" or so. Anyone know the correct spec to replace them at? I can't hear any noises from any of them and they work great.

Thanks,
Dale

disc brakes, 1/8" inch minumum, or when the wear indicators start to touch the rotor. and drum brakes i believe was 1/16". if you're going on a long road trip, then you should probablly get them changed to stay on the safe side
