This is more of theory than anything, but does anyone know how easy it would be to modify SVT Focus brakes onto a 1st Gen Escort, if it's at all possible? What about fabbing some parts? Any ideas? It's just a thought that crossed my mind, since I would like to replace the 9inch front rotors on my car, and 8 inch rear drums with something a little more....robust. I'm all ears, though, and any easier ideas would be welcome.

Well, since both the 1G Escorts and Foci's use Ford's Funky 108mm bolt pattern, you might beable to swap Rotor's and then make an adapter to hold the calipers out farter, kinda like this guy:

The front would be fairly easy to make a bracket for, the back is the tougher one, since I'd be converting from drum to disc.
I wouldn't be able to make my own discs, of course, but I'll look into it more....maybe I'll be posting some project info on here and FEOA....God knows someone needs to fab up some stuff for the 1st Gen's.

Id say got to the car wreakers and grab some but the odds of finding one are probally non-existant.

My buddy bought a 2004 focus and later got the SVT rims from the ford dealership, he said that they were 108 studs.
Ive even heard that the spindles from the focus will fit and they will allow for the set of Brembos from ford racing to bult right up.
