Is it just me or is the HHR another version of CHRYSLER's PT Cruiser? :screwy:

What was CHEVY thinking? :grinno:

Just wondering what y'all/yous thought.

No not really. It's supposed to look similar to the Suburbans from the 30s and 40s, and it was designed by the same person who designed the PT so of course some similarity between the two is going to be there.

I think its goal is to be a little more practical from a style sense than the PT Cruiser. I don't think you'll be seeing an HHR Convertible any time soon.

Chevy HHR = :gay:

haha, it woulda been a better idea if the PT Cruiser wasn't out already.

On a side note, Ludespeed, have you taken your prelude to the track ever, cause i saw in another forum you showed the listed stats for your car, but i was wondering if you had actual evidence for that. It seem faster than everyone that has raced them.

SuperHighOutput is right. The HHR was designed by the same person who did the PT Cruiser. The HHR does have a better chassis though.

Really, if you stop and think about it, the HHR and PT Cruiser are American interpretations of cars like the Scion Xb. Freshly styled economy cars with a tall seating position, big windshield, and very large cargo areas.

It just so happens that the HHR and PT are based on larger compact cars than the Xb.

No, I don't want one of either. They're tall with a raised center of gravity, usually a little underpowered, and box on box styling does nothing for me.

But the cars are hardly without purpose or :gay: , they just appeal to a different set of folks' needs.

I was never a fan of the PT Cruiser. I thought it was ugly, weak, and generally unimpressive

I don't hate the HHR, I think it does look better, but id never buy one, or reccommend one to a friend

its a 2.4L Ecotec 4 that puts out 170 hp

the Atlas I-5 is yet to be adapted for FWD and probably never will be.

Put an LS7 in it, and i'll take it.

Other than that, it IS another PT cruiser. :(
