'05 bumper cover removalInnerDragon103 09-21-2005, 12:15 AM hi all, my friend just got her brand new '05 camry nicked by some damn van.. the bumper cover got bopped in on the edge, and so since i've worked on cars, i volunteered to pop it back out for her.. i need the procedure on how to remove the REAR bumper cover from an '05 camry.. I've pulled the bumper off my nissan altima, but thats completely different than a camry. I really need this help so i can make her feel better; thanks guys. P.S. -- i was plannin on usin a rubber mallet and knockin it back.. any other do it yourself suggestions? csaxon 09-21-2005, 11:31 AM Can you show us pictures at different angles? The bumper is covered with a sheathing over a super high density memory type foam. Some times they heal themselves. The sheathing can be replaced and cost about $200. Depending on the damage, a heat gun and gentle massaging can be more effective than a mallet. That's how the sheathing is removed and applied. 2005Camry 12-16-2005, 08:09 PM Can you show us pictures at different angles? How would you use a heat gun and massage to pop out a dent in the corner of the rear bumper cover? Will a hair dryer be hot enough? If I want to remove the cover, how can I do that? 2005Camry 12-16-2005, 08:10 PM hi all, my friend just got her brand new '05 camry nicked by some damn van.. the bumper cover got bopped in on the edge, and so since i've worked on cars, i volunteered to pop it back out for her.. i need the procedure on how to remove the REAR bumper cover from an '05 camry..
