hi im looking to buy a 96-98 jetta. i found a few that ill hopefully look at this week or weekend, i was wondering if there were any common problems on these cars that i should look out for? i appreciate any advice/tips.

ignition switch looseness...

Transmission problems, mainly reverse on manual. slipping on auto
