Bleeding the clutch on a 69 AH SpriteHobbes567 09-20-2005, 01:30 PM I have a 69 1275cc AH Sprite. It has a brand new steel clutch line and new master cylinder. When bleeding the system, i pump the clutch, hold it to the floor, and have someone open the bleed valve on the slave cylinder. When I do this, very little fluid comes out of the valve. Is there a special way to get the pressure built up in the system that I am not doing, or is air getting trapped somewhere? I cannot find any leaks in the system. Anyone have any ideas? CraigFL 09-20-2005, 01:44 PM The easiest way I found is to pressure bleed by forcing fluid thru the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder back to the master cylinder. I use a bottle and about 15psi from my compressor and catch the extra fluid with my special master cylinder cap with a hole in it connected to a tube. This works the first time after you force at least 2 pints thru. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
