Brakes

Hello, I just replaced the front brake discs and pads but when I brake the pedal still "pumps". What can I do? I was told to tight the nut that holds the bearings of the wheel and turn down the disc, can it help?

Does it pump like the anti-lock brakes are operating? Or is the peddle dropping to the floor?
There might be air in the brake lines - check the brake fluid in both chambers of the fluid resivior (be sure no debris gets into the fluid). Also, with the car running and in park, pump the brake peddle a few times all the way to the floor until it feels like it's firm. This will pump the fluid through the lines - see if this corrects it (pads are self-adjusting; perhaps they're still getting settled).

I don't think it is the ABS working, it's more like if the discs are not flat any more, burnt from an heavy use but they are brand new! About the oil, everything is fine, level and no air in the tubes.

What model & year Jeep do you have? I don't know that they're all the same.
If you have new disks and pads, it sounds like maybe something isn't aligned properly. I would take the brakes apart and put them back together to be sure everything is aligned. Use anti-squeal on the backs of the pads and lube on the pistons. You might want to try this with one wheel first, if you can determine which is causing trouble.

I have a '95 5.2 v8. I think you're right, I'll take everything apart and check it out. I want also to check the rods holding the wheel bearings, they may be a little bit bent and let both the wheel and the disc spin wrong.
