sway barjjcobra 09-19-2005, 09:03 PM Need some help, I just bought a 2004 silverado 1500, crew cab....it only has 17k miles on it, I have experienced a noise and a clunking thru the steering wheel, I had an issue like this on a 97 gmc 1500 and it turned out the sway bar bushings were bad. anyone have any ideas, seems more pronouced during a turn and you can feel it thru the steering column. You may have heard about the clunk, happens in damn near every truck with recirc. ball type steering. Take it to a dealer and let 'em fix it under warranty, the factory warranty is attached to the vehicle, not the owner. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
