I have a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited....is there any way to turn off the Vehicle Information Center, or any way to cut the power to it other then the fuse?

Well for some reason it says the liftgate is open, and it's not. I've opened and closed the liftgate and it still says it's open. And it beeps all the time cause it thinks the liftgate is open.

it might be a bad sensor for the liftgate, I am not possitive but I htink the liftgate switch is located in the locking mechanism for the latch , you might want to check there, it might have goten unplugged or somethign

Alright, I'll try that...but if it doesn't work is there anyway to turn off the Vehicle Info Center?

I'm not seeing any kind of plug for a sensor or anything like that....

I agree with Dale. I'm pretty sure the switch is located in the latch mechanism. I'd replace it, or bypass it. You might have to disassemble the liftgate to get to it.
