Water Damage- Please Help!

I do not know much about cars, but here is what I know.

My husband drove my 1987 Jag XJ6 through water that reached the top of the hood. Now the car will turn over but the engine will not catch. I get the messages Fuel Failure, Brake Pressure, and something else.

Please can anyone tell me what might possibly be wrong, and what I can do to fix it. I would appreciate any advice.
