View Full Version : defrost cavalier 93 defrost cavalier 93 G0ldRush 09-17-2005, 09:24 PM WRMC 10-10-2005, 10:09 AM I noticed that on my 1993 Cavalier after I had the engine pistons worked on. Mechanic said "that keeps the AC working in the off season, so it doesn't become a problem" Is it normal that when I put the defrost on the green light of the A/C stays on? noshun 10-10-2005, 11:19 PM it actually dries the air that is blown at the windshiled in order to clear it quicker but yeah it also works the a/c compressor out. G0ldRush 10-12-2005, 11:43 PM Thanks guy if it's not a problem I'll live with it as long it doesn't suck to much gas...:) cdru 10-13-2005, 10:09 AM By nature of the AC being on, it will suck additional gas. noshun 10-13-2005, 04:16 PM once mine is clear I switch to windshield and floor.
