I have a 99 grand cherokee with an intermittent HVAC blower motor. It cuts out for a few minutes and then comes back on by itself. It has only happened on hot days with the AC running. Does the blower motor have a built-in thermal relay that could be causing this? Is the blower motor difficult to replace? Does anyone have any other suggestions on what the problem might be?

see my recent reply to similar thread...i believe it is probably your blower motor resistor. had one heck of a time trying to identify this piece, but also know of at least 1 other jeep that it was fried on. i don't know if it is the resistors fault or something else.
