My father in law has this car. Both horns are stuck on. We disconnected the wires from the horn as a quick fix. We checked the fusebox, but I see nothing in the manual for a horn fuse. We replaced the relay, plugged back in and both are still stuck on. Since BOTH are stuck on, it's reasonable to assume it's not the horn(s), but the switch, right? Does anybody know how to replace the switches? I think they're in the airbag area, but I don't know how to pop that section off. Is this a safe operation for an amateur?

The horn relay is energized when a ground is applied which originates at the horn button. Sounds like the horn relay is staying energized.

The ground at the steering wheel passes through a slip ring due to the circular movement of the steering wheel instead of a straight wire.

If you pull the horn relay and it stops the problem is back towards the steering column and/or wiring in between. If with horn relay out and it is still blowing the problem is in the direction of the horns.

Be careful working with the airbag unless you have special knowledge. Always pull the respective fuse or power before working on airbags. Good luck!

Pls change the Driverside Airbag in 4S shop. They have specific tools to do that. I believe there exist some debris of metal or plastic in the ground area inside the DAB. Only to change the DAB, you have no other choice I'm afraid.
