2002 Grand Cherokee Malfunction IndicatorJeeper1949 09-16-2005, 01:15 PM The malfunction indicator light has often come on. When I took it to the dealer they check out everything and tel me that the gas cap needed to be tested and they found nothing and reset the light. That happened 5 times while the vehicle was under warranty and 2 after. Well the light is on again. Can someone tell me how to manually reset the light? TIA ricebike 09-16-2005, 01:32 PM go to autozone.com for your local store... they can hook up their obd II scanner to your vehicle & actually reset it for you... anything wrong w/ your gas cap or you just don't close it correctly upon self-pumping it :P ? toots1164 09-23-2005, 04:22 PM I had the same problem. Had to unhook the battery cables and then it reset. But I had the dealer or auto repair person do it for me. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
