View Full Version : OBX Mufflers Any GOOD??? OBX Mufflers Any GOOD??? fuuukaiai 05-12-2002, 01:15 AM I am thinking about purchasing some pipe and doing the job from the cat back to the muffler. Is this a bad idea or not? I am sure some pipe bending and whatnot will have to take place but I can have a shop do that. NISSANSPDR 05-12-2002, 03:28 AM My humble opinion...dont get generic/universal mufflers. Better to buy a full catback system like GReddy, Blitz, Apex'i than to buy a NO NAME brand like OBX. Their products arent that great. If you want it done right...do it right the first time and dont worry about it ever again...buy quality parts only. If cost is your quibble...then check used parts from these sites...someone's gotta sell an exhaust sometime... www.240sx.org (under classifieds-then aftermarket) www.thepartstrader.com (under nissan other) www.ebaymotors.com www.freshalloy.com (under classifieds) 3SGTE 05-27-2002, 01:05 AM Agreeed. You don't want no generic sounding exhaust. I have a friend with an OBX muffler and a "custom" piping from the cat (no resonators) and his car sounds like your riceburner type. Keep with the name brands, and you will not be regretting your decision. Good Luck Maurice Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
