Well yes, plenty of us have/had Accords. The reason your accord loses races is because it is a 13 year old honda with 130ish hp if running right. No disrespect meant, but most modern cars are coming out with significantly more power. The average new sedan runs 2-3 seconds faster in teh 1/4 than our old Hondas.
So are there modifications...yes. But you have to be more specific on what you want to improve. More power, better handling, better fuel economy, different looks, etc. And you have to decide what your budget and goals are.
You can spend $30 on an intake that will give you 1-3hp, or you can spend thousands on a custom turbo kit that will give you 70-100hp. It all matters on what your goals and budget are.
I suggest you use the search feature and do some reading. This question gets asked a billion times a year, so there is plenty of info to read. Once you have a better idea of what it is you want to get done, we can better assist you.

well, your first problem is your comepletely stock. you need some basic upgrades, intake, exhaust, some lighter rims, better tires, etc. get some balls behind your car before you out it on the line. also, if you have high miles, it might be a better to buy a car with lower miles
