Driver side window problem

I just bought an 82 caprice classic.The driver's side window,only went down maybe 3 inch's.It has manual window's too.I took off the door panel,and found the problem.There is a plastic strip in a track,that goes from the bottom of the door,and make's a bend at the top,then goes down to the crank,well the plastic strip is smashed down.It has square hole's,in the middle of the strip,which is on the crank it has a roller,with a square bump,which the the strip fit's on to.Does anyone know how to remove,and install the strip,the window is bolted on to a trangle plastic piece,which is on a square like block that the plastic strip is some how connected to,that keep's the strip in the track.I just need to know how to fix this,if someone know's how.Thank's................ :confused:

I'm not exactly sure what needs to be done from your description (sorry :(). If it comes to it, I have a complete drivers side track and crank setup that came out of an 84 Caprice which I stripped for parts. You can have it, just give me the money for shipping (which would probably be around $8-$10 To replace it you just drill out the rivets, and bolt in the new one. Let me know. I also have all the crank and track setups from all 3 other doors.
