Removed AC compressor & clutch from engine, replaced exhistng belt with reccomended shorter belt, engine seems to want to turn over but is flooding with fuel. Plugs have been replaced and a new battery has been installed (plenty of crancking power). Plenty of spark. The car broke down as a result of a locked up compressor clutch and I am opting to remove the ac from the system. Checked all fuses (Ok).The engine performed flawlessly prior to ac clutch failure. Please help.

if you have spark and gas, i'd say check the timing. especially with you have the four cylinder engine option.
