just wondering what you think i should do with my 1GGTE motor?

should i replace the blown one in my 85 cressida or
should i put it in my 83 celica

they both weigh the same and well they both have the pros and cons

main problem w/ cressida the 2 peice drive shaft (custom drive shaft is about $300)
main problem w/ the celica wiring up the motor (i hate wiring)

oh yea, not to mentio nthe celica will handle alot better and weighs a bit less

i was checking out the engine bay just make sure it will fit. it looks like it will.
i have seen another celi w/ this engine in it.

i dont think the handling would improve unless i actally get around to changing some parts out (havent done anything to it still stock)

thats what i mean, if you upgraded both of there suspension the celica would ultimatly handle better, plus the cressida looks too much like a corolla

why would u take the 7m out of it anyway, if you were lookin for a swap in that car you should go 1j or 2j

the cressida had a 5mge in it when i got it and that was the stock motor, then i put a 6mge in it then sold the motor so i could help pay for some stuff for my new baby boy.

now it has the 1GGTE in it and until i got some bad gas it was very fast. it beat up on alot of cars import and domestic.
the celica the celica took a crap yesterday my brother tore something up in it i pretty sure it was the clutch
oh well time to start the swap. i think your right it should be alot better when i get done thanx

i pulled the motor out of the celica today

i ended up slashing my arm on the heat sheild for the exhaust manifold so i had to go get some stitching done at the local butchery (hospitals suck)


i found an hks turbo single turbo swap for the 1gg yesterday and im gonna try and get
(wheres my damn credit card)

it uses a T04E turbo, 40mm wastegate (should be intersting)
plus its real old skool just the way i like em
thats why i went with the 1ggte
