hi i just rescently changed my head gasket and now i have an extreme amount of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and my car is idling at like top speed and i dont know why i think the smoke is coolant in the exhaust but the loud idling is beyond me i checked the idler adjustment and thats not it i have no i dea i was thinking maybe timing coud be it but iv just about had it anyone want a 90 celica st with 138000 miles and brand new paint make a offer a descent one at the least or if you can even help me.

Did you get the head skimmed when you changed the gasket??? I`d say the head is warped and not sealing correctly, hence water in the cylinders.
