Is it worth it?Prelude300zx 09-08-2005, 05:43 PM I own a 1994 prelude S ( F22) It's an automatic and it has 87,000 miles on it, midnight blue. It's all stock inside and outside, and in great condition. All I have are subs and ambs, with a mini disk player head unit on it. I want turbo and more power. I see a turbo kit for it is in the 3,000 dollar range. Would it be worth turboing it? Won't I only get about 200 Horsepower? With H/E/I, I'll barely get to maybe 220? 230 horse? I want a turbo car, but I'm not sure if 3 grand is worth for 200 horse. Won't I also need another front bumper for the intercooler? so with installation, front bumper, turbo kit, and paint on the bumper, I'm looking at a good 4 grand? Anyone have any suggestions? I might just sell it. civickiller 09-08-2005, 11:13 PM well it can be done but the f22 isnt an exactly desireable turbo motor, the h22 is the more common motor turboed. you usually dont need a new front bumper but you do gotta hack at it alittle to fit the intercooler, idk how it is for your application Schister66 09-08-2005, 11:19 PM it'd be fun, but honestly there are more things to spend money on. I am just taking a break from working and putting effort into school, but if i was to spend money on a turbo kit, i'd have to work again. Don't get me wrong, a turboed car would be the shit, but i'm waitin til next summer at least. I think that if you can justify spending the money then do it!! honda_racing101 09-08-2005, 11:19 PM I/H/E Will only get you around 10 hp. which will put you at around 100hp to the wheels. I'd strongly recomend a H22 swap, its easy, quick, and inexpensive. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
