Just wondering what normal vehicle operating temperate for my 94 jetta III 2.0? I was running at about 70' before changing thermostat now i'm running between 85 and 100. Is this proper?

Running 170 sounds a lil low, 180 is the norm and 200 seems a lil high so you may wanna check out your coolant system.
