Lights out... HELP!!!SilverY2KCivic 05-09-2002, 09:56 PM Today I realized that my fog lights are suddenly not lighting up when turned on. So of course I busted out my multimeter and began probing away. The wires going to the lights themselves after the relay are getting power. So it's not the fuse obviously or anyother power connections. Could it possibly be a problem with the relay, or would you all say it's a bulb, although NEITHER bulbs are lighting up. :( And both bulbs appear to be intact as far as the filament is concerned. What could be the problem? Marc-OS 05-10-2002, 12:09 AM Perhaps you forgot the headlight fluid? http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/975059xenonheadlightfluid.jpg SilverY2KCivic 05-10-2002, 03:40 AM Originally posted by Marc-OS Perhaps you forgot the headlight fluid? http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/975059xenonheadlightfluid.jpg Uhh, no Xenon fluid here, only crappy halogen fluid. ;) :finger: LOL! I'm for real though, I wanna get these buggers back working again. :( crxlvr 05-10-2002, 03:46 PM this happened to me once also, and the problem with my bulbs was that the bulb ground wire inside the fog lamp came loose and i just had to re-tighten it down and they work fine. SilverY2KCivic 05-10-2002, 08:01 PM I checked that when I probed around with my meter, and I tightened everything, and still nothing. :( 99AccordCoupe 05-10-2002, 08:47 PM Did both fogs go out at the same time? If that's the case, then it's not the bulbs. But if one light went out, followed by the other, than my guess would be the bulbs. Take the bulbs out and have a real good look at them. It's probably going to be a pain the ass to get then out of there, but give the a look. :smoker2: SilverY2KCivic 05-11-2002, 04:34 AM Originally posted by 99AccordCoupe Did both fogs go out at the same time? I already looked at the bulbs when I probed the power wires, and the bulbs allow continuity through them and look intact, so it's not the bulbs. SilverY2KCivic 05-14-2002, 10:38 PM Gah!!!!! This is really bugging the hell out of me, why won't they friggen light up? The bulbs get continuity through them, the grounds to them are secure, the wires going to the bulbs have power going through them, so what's the hold up? If one bulb isn't grounded right, would it cause BOTH to not light up? The power wire coming off the back of the globes is short, and has a quick connect connector going to it, my dad thinks that maybe the wire going to the conector isn't tight, and maybe needs to be soldered just to be sure, could that be a possibility? I'm stuck on ideas. :( vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
