How do you take the shift knob off of an automatic 1999 chevy cavalier?

I've been trying to do that on my 90 z24 for a while now. Let me know if you figure it out.

Thanks:cool:

Removing the shift knob on an auto is basically the same as a manual. Put the ebrake on, pull the shifter down all the way to 1st, and pull the u pin out. With a bit of pulling, the knob should slide out.
