Whats up all die hard Honda guy here in the market for a new car. After all my research and after looking at my pockets I see the WRX is the best bang for the buck. I did all my research but I was unable to come up with an information regarding crash test ratings. Would any one be able to give me a run down on how safe this car seems to be? I would hope it fairs better then the EVO in these categories.
-Thanks

Brody,
To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any crash test results released for the '06 yet, but I am sure there will be soon.
Since the cars are pretty much the same under the skin (structurally), I am certain you could look up the crash test results on the '04/'05 models as a sound reference.
I do know the Impreza has a pretty sound crash test rating too, which is always encouraging.

I would look at the IIHS tests to be the morst realistic and accurate simulation of the actual crash, rather than the goverment's unrealistic star ratings.
This is the result:
http://www.hwysafety.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=145
They don't have the side impact test for the 2005, but basically, Impreza's scores are as good as they can get.
