Headlight Eyebrowsgrrltoy 05-09-2002, 09:36 AM I saw a couple cars online with those headlight eyebrows. I think it gives a whole new look and am thinking about possibly getting them. Painted, not carbon fiber. Has anyone had any experience with them? I want to make sure I get a good set (brand) No cheap crap where the light shows through. Feedback is appreciated.. esp 05-09-2002, 10:52 AM grrltoy 05-09-2002, 11:35 AM yep. those are the ones. where are you from? we have import illusions here. esp 05-09-2002, 02:49 PM Originally posted by grrltoy yep. those are the ones. where are you from? we have import illusions here. wisconsin and we made up import illusions. Thanks man!! no problem i'm glad i could help. the painting process ir really easy, sand it clean it and then i put 6 light coats of milano red paint and then 4 coats of clear coat and they look perfect. insted of usinf the 3-m adhesive i used some silicon adhesive gel stuff from a hardware store and it worked a lot better. i didn't want to lose and eyebrow and good luck with the eyebrows. if you have any other questions post them here or pm me i will get either one. grrltoy 05-10-2002, 10:06 AM Will do!!! Thanks!! Oh, also, can you gat spray paint in Honda colors? I have a can that matches from when I had work done on my car, but i think spray would be a better idea. esp 05-10-2002, 07:07 PM Originally posted by grrltoy Will do!!! Thanks!! Can't remember. That's cool. I can match it up. I just thought you had found honda spray paint. I was like, "Awesome!" Cool. That'll do. DailyDriver 06-23-2002, 02:07 PM I made my eyebrows with adhesive vinyl I got from a sign making place. I just bought a roll of the stuff for $10 or something, and cut them out. This way you can make custom shapes, make them bigger or smaller depending on your preference. Just a thought, it beats spending $40 or more for them. esp 06-23-2002, 06:49 PM Originally posted by DailyDriver I made my eyebrows with adhesive vinyl I got from a sign making place. Just a thought, it beats spending $40 or more for them. this is an old thread and vinyl eyebrows suck ass you can see light through them and my eyebrows didn't cost mw $40 either they were on $15. DailyDriver 06-24-2002, 12:37 PM taking that one a little too personally...relax huh? just giving a suggestion to save some cash, and you can be creative with the vinyl too. i double layered mine so no light shines through. some people have complained about the eyelids coming off, the vinyl sticks well. and yes it was an old thread, but how does some more input hurt? don't take people's suggestions so personally, nowhere did i insult you or anyone. m3kidds 06-24-2002, 04:07 PM anyone bought eyebrows from procarparts? or autodynamic. i'm about to get them...just need to know if any from those sites are decent...thanks oh, any pics of ur eyebrows esp? grrltoy 06-24-2002, 04:21 PM Their product quality is ok, depending on how much you paid for it. Did you get it from Ebay? Make sure you keep on them about shipping the product. I had some problems when I got my intake from them. m3kidds 06-24-2002, 07:02 PM ok cool.. but which site did you get it from?.. RedY2KCivic 06-24-2002, 07:56 PM Originally posted by m3kidds anyone bought eyebrows from procarparts? or autodynamic. i'm about to get them...just need to know if any from those sites are decent...thanks oh, any pics of ur eyebrows esp? Well I have those same eyebrows, and they look like this http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/996821front2.jpg And on the sites, I've never ordered from procarparts, but I have from autodynamic, and I've never once had a bad experience with them. They have fast shipping as well. :) m3kidds 06-24-2002, 10:26 PM thats pretty hot.. did you paint them yourself? if so what brand of paint and what was the process? RedY2KCivic 06-24-2002, 11:02 PM Originally posted by m3kidds thats pretty hot.. did you paint them yourself? if so what brand of paint and what was the process? Yeah, I painted them myself, if you go to any sort of auto supply store, they should have this paint called the Dupli Color 'Import Paint'. They're spray cans that come in the factory colors of the cars. They're hella cheap too, like $3.99 per can. All I used was a small can of the milano red and a small can of the clearcoat with plenty left over, and they turned out great. Just make sure you do lots of little coats instead of a few heavy ones. :) (thanks to esp for helping me out a little bit ago) ;) m3kidds 06-24-2002, 11:06 PM thanks for the info.. i'm gonna order some today.. but still debating on which site to get them from.. i have heard a lot of negative comments about procarparts.. but i got my reverse indiglos from them and everything was ok. .. i want to get it from them becuz their eyebrows come black <which is the color of my car> so painting them might be easier.. but autodynamic <better rep> has them in white.. i still dunno.. i am leaning towards autodynamic just for a better transaction... esp 06-26-2002, 12:40 PM Originally posted by RedY2KCivic (thanks to esp for helping me out a little bit ago) ;) no problem. no was that painting process really that difficult? here the pic of mine they are the say ones as RedY2KCivic. http://images.fotki.com/v3/free/db44/2/23733/59292/frontside-vi.jpg http://images.fotki.com/v3/free/db44/2/23733/59292/front-vi.jpg vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
