A friend of mine has a 1991 Accord EX which has a "possesed" seat belt light and "Dinger". It comes on randomly and will ding and flash for hours while driving only to turn itself back off for hours. At times it's on for a mile or two then off for hours. Totally random. Doesnt matter if there is one or two people in the front seats. This is a coupe.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Only the driver's side belt actualtes the light ande chime. And it has nothing to do with someone sitting in the seats - it's an electrical switch in the belt latch. The first place I'd look is under the seat where there is, I imagine, a connector into which the stubby cable wired to the seat belt latch is plugged. See if it is loose. With the ignition turned on and the driver side belt buckled, jiggle it and see if it causes the problem
