Just removed my 05 Sahara doors for the first time. Any good leads on what to purchase for a driver side mirror (to make it legal) and where to purchase it?

You mean the ones that attach back onto the hinge since the door is gone? I think 4WD Hardware (www.4wd.com) carries something like that. Other folks here might know of better/cheaper places, but I get their catalog all the time and have seen them in their before.

I am not sure if most states/provinces are the same. But since its factory, it is legal to drive with no side mirrors, as long as you got your rear-view. Some early cars only came with only one side mirror.

www.quadratec.com has mirrors also

I was told not all, but most states, in the US require at least a passenger side mirror. I'm not 100% sure about MA, but I am assuming they have the law. They have every other law....:)

this is what I have on my 93 sahara,
http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=jeep+mirror&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp the ones I have are the ones that are 3rd and 4th down on the page.
you can get them for either side, and you can also get them in stainless. I've also seen kits to mount your factory mirrors to the stock door hinges, I'll look and see if I can find a link to them.

here ya go, here are a couple links to those brackets I was talking about, they allow you to keep your stock mirrors, and just mount them in a diffirent location.

You are right, some laws are from the 1800's and are F$@#ED But most coppers have common sense. Unless some are on a power trip. But the coppers quota needs to be met. They deny it but we all know its a fact.

Not fair, not fair...some coppers are also Wrangler owners, who understand the missing mirrors. Icksne on the otaque talk.
