94 Honda Accord Drive Light Flashing On DashboardEXPLORESTUFF 09-04-2005, 09:18 PM my 94 honda accord has a weird problem whenever it runs for a while say 10-20 miles the speedometer starts fickling inconsistently and irregularly. Also the D4(drive sign on dashboard) starts flashing-which never stops untill halt. Also when such problem occurs and if i stop and move from a light, its takes minimum 3-5 seconds to pick up in normal Drive(D4),at which time the speedometer oscillates inaccordingly.all this happens only infrequently but it makes me a bit worried since its something with transmission. to my knowledge the tranmission fluid was changed only a month ago. can u suggest something pls thanks mpumas 09-05-2005, 01:31 AM Could be the speedometer sensor located on the transmission between the engine and passenger firewall. Otherwise it is probably the Automatic Transmission control unit. The sensor is the cheapest place to start and a jumpy speedometer is an bad sensor indication. kingvskings 09-05-2005, 02:23 AM Could be the speedometer sensor located on the transmission between the engine and passenger firewall.
