88 S10 blazer will not start

I just brought my 88 S10 and I have already replaced the alternator and battery. Now all it does is turns over but want fire up. I poured a little fuel in the carbarator and it fire up and shut right back off I DON'T WHAT TO TRY NOW somebody please help. Thank You
