I replaced my fuel pump on my blazer. It had about a .25 tank of gas in it. Now my gauge is off. When the gauge gets to .25 it is out of gas/empty. Does anyone now how i can reset this fuel gauge where it will read properly?

Your sending unit is shot. You might have to replace it as well.

I thought the sending unit was part of the new pump...

The pump installs into the sending unit.

the way i replaced the pump on my 96' was one whole piece. dropped the tank, unhooked fuel lines, unhooked elec. connections (2), took off snap ring, pulled pump, and replaced in same reverse order. There was nothing else that i saw down there that looked like a sending unit. i thought and may be wrong, that it was all together????? i'm really lost now.......help

The whole assembly is the sending unit.

I had the same thing happen, it turns out I was sold the wrong pump assembly (one for an s10 pickup, not a blazer). Either you have the wrong pump, or the arm on the sending unit is bent up. Either way, you'll have to remove the pump again. With the pump out, stand it up on the ground as it would fit in the tank, if the float on the sender isn't touching the ground, bend the arm carefully until it touches the ground.
Before doing this, check to make sure you have the right pump assembly.

You have to drop the tank regardless.

The rheostat controlling the fuel level gauge is brojen or the improper model.

I have the same problem with mine. The guy before me had the garage replace the fuel pump. I learned that it is empty at when it reads 1/4 tank.

You shouldn't "settle" for having your fuel gauge off like that.
